    D SLR night sporting events

Looking for some advice in regards to taking photos at night during sporting events.

Recently purchased a Nikon D60 DSLR with 300mm Autofocus lens.

During a daytime football game, in Auto mode, I took 52 pictures that came out fantastic.

The next week, I used the same mode at a nightime game.

Pretty much all of the pictures were blurry and out of focus.
The only real difference in the camera was the fact the flash was going off at night.

Does anyone have any advice on what I may be doing wrong or what I need to change in camera set up to get clear and focused pictures at night?

    Thanks, Bob

    Hi Bob,

Take a walk over into the sports forum. This topic is talked about a lot.

You'll require a fast lens to take night sports shots. f/2.8.

If you want to use a flash, the onboard flash isn't going to get results.

You'll need to bump up your iso too and start shooting on manual.
    It's not blurry. It's bokeh.
