    cleaning internals, w/ canned air duster?
    can the internals of the camera (D100 ccd) be cleaned with "canned air dusters" used to clean computer hardware?? :confused:

    Not recommended. The "air" is actually liquid that is very cold. When the liquid form of it comes in contact with some surfaces it can leave a residue, even mar the surface.

    Some shops use it to clean the cameras. Let them, if they screw anythign up they are financially responsible for it. I would not recommend taking that sort of responsibility youself. CCDs are not cheap.

    I once spilled a big spot of liquid on my CCD using canned air. Not recommended.

    Canned air contains chemicals that will harm your CCD and internals. Don't learn the hard way!
