    CANON 40d locking up issues

I have a pair of Canon 40D's. About every 1000 shots my camera locks up and the only way to fix it is to pop out the battery and put it back in. Any input from you Canon users out there? Both of my Canon's do it.

Re: CANON 40d locking up issues

I had the same/similar situation with my 40D. But in my case, I could never shoot it again. The mirror would reset with the removal of the battery, but the very next shot would yield a stuck mirror and an error message.

Strangely, I could trip the mirror via live-view and took some emergency images that way. The mirror would flip back down when I disabled the live-view. Strange.

I reported it to Canon and the local representatives gave me a new 40D body. That one didn't have any problems.

    What's a Loupe for anyway?
