printing digital images for best quality

I normally use Costco to print my digital images from my canon d10, and love the prints most of the time. I just can't seem to get consistent prints. I ordered (2) 8x12's on the same day and they were each a little different. (????) Does anyone know of a professional lab that I can email my images to for printing. Does this lose some of the images quality via the internet?

    Printroom.com

There are ots of places where you can upload your files to get prints. I've been using Printroom.com for a couple of years and been pretty happy. They're a little slow, but the quality is very good, and predictable.

Maybe some other people have some other recommendations. Oh yeah, Clark Color has been advertising with us. I probably shouldn't forget about them I just don't have any personal experience with them. They have a free print deal going, though. There are links to their offer in the Photo Critique forum, if you want to try them out.

Out CostCo here in Oxford is great, consistent pictures each time.
So long as we get them done togther

They made a mistake last week and only printed one picture instead of 2. The operator said he'd have to print 2 together to guarantee they matched and (because it was his mis-count) he said we could just keep the "wasted" one.
So whenever I go in there I look out for him because he actually has a clue !!

I know 8x6 isn't really a snapshot But I've not used them for anything serious yet.
Maybe this year I'll actually get some F1 shots good enough to sell...
