    Camera For Horse Shows
    Hi Guys,
Am new to the forum. Need some input as to getting a new lens, maybe a new camera.
Have the D70 Nikon. Using my boss' D2H for the horse shows, thinking about getting the D2X if I can swing it. But really need some input about the Sigma 70 -200 vers. the Nikon 70-200 for horse shows and fast action. re: horse racing and pole bending etc.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

I don't know much about horse shows, but if they're indoors I think you'd really benefit from the VR with the Nikon lens. Low light and long lenses can be tough and if you shoot handheld it will give you the equivalent of handholding a couple/few stops faster. Of course, VR won't help with a moving subject though - the legs will still be blurred for example.

Sigma has their own "optical Stabilization" technology now. You can get it in their 80-400mm OS lens: http://www.photographyreview.com/cat...1_3128crx.aspx
