camera company
Hello
I wasnt sure if this is the right place to post this.
I need to write a short introduction on Olympus as a digital camera company.
Like a general overview/profile of the company. There website is not as useful as I thought It would be. Anyone can help? Or know of any web links besides olympus.com?
Thanks
Also I know this is a camera forum however just wanted to ask if anyone knows anything about camera adverts (print adverts)?
Thanks

Read through the company's annual reports they are public record. Go to financial web sites for background and history. Use Google.

Re: camera company
hey
how is this:
Olympus is a Japanese company specializing in optics and imaging. Olympus was founded in 1919, and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. It is named after "Olympus", the home of the gods in Greek mythology. Olympus has a history of groundbreaking camera and lens design. Their camera designs have often been revolutionary. Their compact cameras have retained their great popularity, though, and in recent years their digital cameras have won great acclaim.
what else could i add? is it an overview/profile of olympus as a camera comapny?
thanks

Re: camera company
Here's a good, brief company history, straight from the horse's mouth:
http://www.olympusamerica.com/oai_ab...us.asp?sPage=1
This site is also useful for information on milestones:

From the above page:
"Their first models from 1996 were P&S style cameras"
