    beginner seeks advice on camera
I love to travel. Also love sporting events. Would like to purchase my first real camera and was hoping someone could recommend one. i really have no idea even where to begin. i understand that the nikon D40 is decent. i have the money to spend and would prefer one that doesn't require a lot of expertise but puts out good pictures (hoping that the pictures i take of baseball players are a good enough quality to enlarge).

please recommend a good camera? please email your thoughts to psugator02@yahoo.com. thanks in advance for your time.

Your best bet is to surf the reviews here. All camera manufacturers make great cameras now. Nikon, Canon, Olympus, Pentax. I would suggest one with image stabilization though. It makes shooting in low light much easier. The Olympus 510 and some of the Pentax have in camera IS. I can't tell you how much I enjoy having the IS. Also look at the price of lenses. Later on down the road you will certainly want better lenses and some models have more lenses avaliable than others. You are really buying into a system that you will contiue to upgrade in as you go. You will keep your lenses and upgrade camera bodies later on. I hope this helps and good luck.
