Hi everybody, I know that there are quite a few people here who own aD70. I have heard alot about backfocus problem with D70. Have anyone of you have this problem personally? How did you deal with it? Send it back to fix or return it? How widespread is the problem? Thanks in advance.

    OK, I'm an idiot. . .
What's a backfocus problem? Can I blame all of my slightly out of focus pictures on my camera?

    I have the D70....
and have had no backfocus problems, though I'm sure that some have them. I'm also sure that there are alot of people that have bought a D70 that are completely new a SLR camera, and especially a DSLR camera, that only think they have a backfocus problem. This is brought about alot from people who read the headache-inducing DPReview D70 forum. I don't think the problem is near as widespread as some people make it out to be, but certainly there are problems with some of them, as there has been with every new DSLR that has come out. All of them have had some sort of problem that eventually got blown way out of proportion, from the D100, to the 10D, and the Digital Rebel/300D.
It will all die down in time, but there will always be people that are just really paranoid about their equipment.

    Regards,
    Brian
