Nikon lens purchase for D-70

I have a Nikon D-70 and am looking to buy a lens...

Nikon Zoom Telephoto AF VR Zoom Nikkor 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6D ED Autofocus Lens (Vibration Reduction)

Any thoughs or opinions on this lens?:thumbsup:

Good lens but slow to focus and slow aperture. You might instead consider the AFS 70-200mm VR.

I currently own a 28-200 Quantaray lens and was looking to upgrade. (Heading to Deanli in Setember.) I was looking to get more zoom power and this seemed like a good compromise for multiple uses. The 400 mm lens would be nice for long distance.

Any additional thoughts?
