    Wide Format
Are there any digital cameras that shoot in a wide format so that the picture can be viewed on an HDTV? When displayed on my 50" there are large black borders and if you try to expand all the images are distorted (fat).
Is there any software that will modify the picture?

You can modify the picture with any editing software likePhotoshop or Paint Shop Pro. There are no cameras out there that take wide-format pictures in the HD aspect ratio.

You will be better off with 3:2 format camera (DSLRs except the Oly) versus a 4:3 camera, which are most P&Ss, but indeed no still cameras presently show 16:9 without editing.
