Re: where do the idiots go?
Here you go. From a google search for 'olympus c-750 tutorial'
http://www.webphotoschool.com/Lesson...igital_Camera/
There are other general teaching sites too. Google will find them for you.
I'd recomment the SHQ image quality if you want to take decent looking pics. SQ2 would be pretty rough.
Re: where do the idiots go?
Welcome to the site. I hope we can help. Camera have gotten pretty complicated. Chunk's referral is a good one. Web Photo School is excellent.
One question - how much have you used the manual? There's usually a "quick start" section that should get you up and running pretty quickly. And most digital cameras have "idiot modes" that are pretty simple. They're real "point-and-shoot" modes. I can't remember what Olympus calls theirs. But I'm sure it's there.
Re: where do the idiots go?
Thanks for the web site, When I switch the setting to SHQ It only takes pictures at
2288x1520 & 3200x2400 those are real big can't even see them on my PC without scrolling all over lol my parents and worse than me so If i email it to them. there lost with a pict. that big. what about TiFF ??
Re: where do the idiots go?
Whatever application you are using to look at the photo with probably has a zoom setting to display all of the shot in the screen. Then do a resize to save one for emailing or posting. The reason to use the SHQ is to capture a good quality picture to start with. You can always make a larger picture smaller but you can't make a low res capture into anything worthwhile. Tiff probably has just as many pixels but is compressed less in saving so the file size is larger. The tiff compression is lossless so is better than jpegs that way. Take a look at scantips.com for some info on file types, resolution, etc.
Re: where do the idiots go?
there is a nice freeware viewer called irfanview.. u have two options full size or or full screen.. full screen this make a little pic bigger or a big one smaller.. it also resamples the image while its doing it and does a good job.. full size simply displays the image at its original size..
irfanview is one of those "must have" things.. its been around for years and improved over time to do many things.. being as its free every computer should have it.. he he
trog100..
