    What type of camera is best for me?
    First of all let me start by introducing myself. Im new to the photography scene and figured i purchase a new digital camera since i joined the navy and will be going to many interesting places and im also a mt biker and i see lots of cool stuff sometimes that i would like to take pictures. If you would like more info on me just check out my profile.

    Im looking for a compact camera (camera should be able to fit in my pocket)thats is all- weather,4-6mp, video option,around the $700usd range, and that can take a good beating since it will be in my backpack on long bike rides, also with a large lcd screen.

    this camera will be used for recreational use nothing professional i just want to take pictures to record my bike rides and the places i visit when im on leave.

    It has been a while since I have been in the compant digital market, but here are my suggestions:

    My main attraction to the Pentax Optio WP is it's waterproof casing. but if that's a not an advantage for you, there's nothing about it better than the rest.
