What is the best digital camera ever?
I'm talking in terms of media type, pixel resolution, and extra features. Price is no object here. If you had to pick one to be the best digital camera in existance (prototypes are allowed), which would it be and why?

    Good luck.

Too many applications with too many models that excel at one thing over the others.

The space telescope Hubble has given us images that are just not possible by any other means, and are often of extraordinary beauty.

Charles, I'm rolling helplessly on the ground here, laughing! :D

Skylink, I would venture to say there is no one "best" camera out there, although there is definitely a category that several cameras would fit into. Probably the "best" would be indicated by price, so if you look at the highest priced cameras by each major manufacturer, you'd have a good representation. From there, go on to look at individual features and decide what's most important to you.

If you're looking back into history for the "best" camera ever, well, I'm afraid I can't help you there. I have no idea.
