    Ultra-Compact Cameras
Well, my wonderful Canon S400 has stopped reading the memory card. The repair price is a flat $250. So...

I could pay the repair price.

I could buy a used S400 (they are long discontinued) but they run about $200 for a decent one. The newer Elphs seem to have a multitude of small problems thanks, at least in my mind, to squeezing too many pixels onto a tiny sensor.

I could by a brand other than the Canon Elphs I've always used. Has anyone actually used an ultra compact camera not made by Canon? I'm looking for something that fits comfortably in a normal pocket. I have had so much to do lately that my knowledge of camera models is way out of date.

I have looked at the Nikon S9, Fuji F20, Olympus FE190...
    Thanks.

I like the Casios - as long as they're at least 7-megapixels. I'm not a fan of the 5 and 6-megapixel sensors. I really, really liked the Casio EX-Z750.
