Re: Types of Commercial Cleaning Services

My HVAC contractor said I should get my furnace ducts cleaned every year, but I’m not sure if that’s just upselling or legit advice. Is yearly cleaning really necessary, or is that overkill if you change your filters regularly?

Re: Types of Commercial Cleaning Services

The truth is, it depends on your home and lifestyle. If you have pets or recent renovations, more frequent cleanings make sense. But for regular homes, every 2-3 years is usually fine. I used this article to understand what exactly the cleaning includes https://comfortclean.com/furnace-duc...ng-what-is-it/ what is furnace cleaning — and it explained the process clearly. After reading it, I realized some companies charge for services that aren’t even necessary unless your system is really dirty. I ended up booking a cleaning after three years, and the technician said it was the right time based on buildup.
