Bit new to digital photography, or any type in general if I'm honest.

Bought an S5500 late last year from Pixmania and later a 1.7 step up lens from Amazon and have had a great time taking some cool photos with it.

Alas I went camping a couple of weeks ago and when I got back I found my camera no longer worked. It's just dead basically. Have tried both rechargeables and brand new Duracell's in it but just nothing when I switch it on. All I can think is that it may have got a bit damp over the weekend.

It looks like the camera came from Germany judging by the manual that it arrived with and am pretty sure I didn't register it so not sure if I have a leg to stand on.

Am I screwed? Anyone from the UK know where I can get it repaired or even if you think it could be economically worthwhile. Tries lookign on t'internet but digi camera repair places seem a bit thin on the ground :mad2: .

I'm not the richest guy in the world and it was my pride and joy so would hate to see all that wedge go to waste after such a short time :cryin: .
