    Sony DSC T-1? Any Opinions?
I like the size and features of this camera. It would be my first digital. The size is really convienient. Any thoughts on the downside or upside of buying this camera??
    Thanks for your time!

    Saw it at PMA
I don't think very many people have the camera yet. I added it to the reviews after I saw your post, on Friday. Hopefully we'll start getting some reviews soon.

I got a chance to look at and handle the T-1 at PMA, a little over a week ago. It's a great size and it feels really nice in the hands. Better than I thought it would, actually. I'm not such a fan of all the miniaturization that's going on. As far as image quality goes, Iam pretty confident that it will be very good. The only real unknown is the zoom lens that zooms inside the camera body. I'm not sure how well that works, although Konica Minolta has been doing it a while with their "X" line of digital cameras. It may be that Sony is licensing the Konica Minolta lens design.

I realize that's not a very definitive answer. But the camera is too new for most of to know much. If you really want it and are just looking for someone to co-sign on your decision - no problem. I doubt you'll be disappointed, as long as you aren't expecting a full-featured camera like the DSC-V1, in that little package. If that's the case, you should think it through a little more carefully.
