    Samsung 350SE – Shutter fail
I have a major problem with the shutter button on my Samsung. I can no longer take pictures because the shutter button failed. It does not respond whatsoever when I push half way for the auto focus or when I push it fully to take the picture. From the outside, it appears that the button is broken

One of the frustrating things is that when it is on timer mode, and I activate the shutter button, everything works perfectly and the picture takes.

The camera can’t take in any mode, regardless of flash, red-eye, or video settings. The CF card is not a factor as I own several and the results are the same regardless of the card. Batteries are no factor either, as they are fully charged.

This problem is urgent; the camera is needed for events next week.

Sounds like it's time to buy a new camera. Changing the batteries is often the only thing you can do with sophisticated electronic devices like digital cameras. If the shutter release really doesn't work, you'd better buy a new camera. Even getting your camera fixed isn't an option. It will take too long and likely cost almost as much as buying a new one.

Sorry I don't have anything better to offer. Good luck.

Just try and explain that to my mother now :D

The camera is reaching its second year... and still my first camera.
