Recommend a Digital Camera for the GF.

The girlfriend wants a new digital camera. She would like a nice slim, compact one that she can put in her purse, and keep it with her. She would also like to keep the price below $150. I know that kinda limits options, so that's why I'm asking for your help.

I'm thinking the Nikon S220 would work. Any thoughts?

Well just looking it seems that Panasonic has two in that price range with good marks.

Then again a Canon so if she has any questions it should be easy since you also have a Canon.

She really likes the PowerShot SD1200 IS in orange. Think we'll be picking up one of these before summer comes.

Canon's are great and the SD1200 IS enjoys and upgraded processor which makes the face detection and image stabilization improved. Frankly, I don't really care about the color, but the innards make for a good entry level camera. I'd go there.

She changed her mind and bought the PowerShot SX110IS in silver.

I recommend you Fuji FinePix Z20fd because it suitable for your GF which has a good design and different colors that she could put it in her pure. You could find this camera in different stores within your budget.
