The sweet point on gigabytes per $ seems to be about 8G cards right now.
I wouldn't want much larger than that at the moment shooting with 8-12MP cameras.
A bad 16G card would lose too many photos.

I would like to throw a BIG Thank You out to everyone who helped me make my decisions
on my purchase. I ended up with Nikon a D5100 with 18-55 and 70-300 nikon lenses in kit from Cameta camera. We're going to the carribean soon so I'm hoping ofr some great shots to share with you. Now if the Fed Ex guy would just show up:D

I am still searching for information on weather there are any digital cameras out there that will accept the lenses from my Minolta sr T mc-II

Buckshot - you can get an adapter for it to mount onto CSC cameras, like Sony's NEX or Olympus M43.
Just look up Minolta MD to M43/NEX adapter on amazon. Will work for any Sony NEX or Olympus/Panasonic micro four thirds system.

Get the best camera you can afford.
Get the best lenses you can afford.
Take pictures
Take classes.
Not necessarily in that order.
