problem with the Z700. Have to restart PC to use.
I'm using the EasyShare printer dock series 3, and can put the Z700 on to it and transfer the pictures onto the computer like normal, but after a while I have to restart if I wish to continue doing so, or else the lights on the dock keep flashing and the "transfering" dialog doesn't come up on the computer.
So I restart the PC and it works fine, then a little while later it happens again.

    Why's this?

    Tough One
That's a tough one. I don't know why it's doing what it's doing, but it sounds like the printer dock is turning itself off. I'd check the software preferences in the Kodak software and see if there's a setting that controls the dock turning itself off. Does this happen if you take the camera off and come back later? Or does it only happen if you leave the camera on the dock? Another thing you can do when software doesn't act right is reinstall it. Or start turning off other software to see if there's a software conflict. Last, but not least, use the Kodak technical support.

Hopefully someone who has more experience with the Kodak equipment than me will be able to give you some advice, too.

Just a thought, but have you checked the kodak website for any driver or firmware updates? I have the Z700 also (minus the dock), but I'm fairly certain there is a firmware update. Hope that helps.
