Problem with megxon digital camera C500
Hi, this is my first post and in fact I have just joined in.

I have had this Megxon C500 digital camera for a couple of years. I used for a while and then I stopped because no matter what kind of batteries I used it only lasted for a couple of minutes.

I started using it again yesterday. I used different batteries at this time and still has its problem. For changing I used rechargeable batteries and it last for a while for about 10 photos until batteries went flat. But now it doesn't work at all, it wont turn it on no matter of what batteries I use.

Does this sound the bell to your ears?

Since I've never heard of the company Megxon, and it sounds like it's got some bad electronics, I think it's time to buy a new camera. Sorry I don't have anything more positive or useful to offer. But if there's an electronic component in the camera that's gone bad, and it's a small, unknown manufacturer, you're going to be best served by buying a new camera. And this time I would recommend buying a camera from one of the bigger manufacturers. That won't guarantee your camera will last more than two years. But I think it's more likely. Plus, the cameras that Nikon, Canon, Sony, Olympus, etc. introduced this year are leaps and bounds better than anything that was available two years ago. Image quality and low light performance made huge improvements in 2007.

Somebody posted something about a Megxon a while back. Its basically a low quality camera and really not worth fixing as you could probably buy a new one cheaper than fixing it. You could try to see if the company will repair but they'd probably just send you a new one with the same problems.
I agree with John about shopping for a known brand camera. Just think how much you'll save in batteries!
