power adaptor

Hi im new to the site and digital camera's

I have just bought a fuji s3000 and what im wanting to know is can i use any 5v power supply/adaptor to run the camera or do i need the fuji adaptor

I'd hate to be the guy that helps you ruin your camera. For that reason, it would be safest to use the Fuji. But I can't see how it would make any difference. I have a universal adapter I've been using for a portable CD player and it'snever given me any trouble.

Good call. Compact digital cameras still cost too much to big risks with.
