    Yes, frequently anyway. Any times there is water or sky. or other reflective objects.

    Cutting out glare/reflections is just one benefit. Another equally important aspect is its effect on produce nice and rich colors by reducing reflected light off objects.

    But do take note that it doesn't perform miracles, and is most affective when the light source is coming from roughly 90 degrees relative to the subject you're shooting. Which in most cases would be early/mid afternoon.
