Please recommend a digital camera to me.
I want to buy a digital camera and I have been getting conflicting advice. I want to do model photo shoots and add the pictures to my website. I want the photos to look good. I have been told I only really need a 2.0 MP camera. Then someone else told me I need at least a 4.0. What is the real story here? I am looking at a Canon Powershot A95 which is a 5.0. Do I need one that good? Will a 4.0 do the trick? This will not just be a casual website for my friends and family to look at. I want it to be a real good site showing good photos. Please help! Thanks, Dave .. footman727@yahoo.com
Re: Please recommend a digital camera to me.
I have a Canon Powershot A20 (2.1 megapixel) which I took the following photos with:
http://www.thisisri.com/gallery/Gallery-3/ as were the following photos:
http://www.airforcesecuritypolice.com/hawaiiwedding/ (over 800 photos there!)
The following photos were taken with a Nikon D70 with 6.1 megapixels

While I have not saved both at the highest quality, they are saved at the same relative quality to each other, so you should be able to see the difference between megapixels.
I'd recommend something with higher megapixels myself.

Re: Please recommend a digital camera to me.
Allot depends on what you can afford. But go with the 5.0 or better. I use a 4.1 and i'm as happy as a pig in the mud. But they say Higher is Better. Check out Olympus also.
Re: Please recommend a digital camera to me.
u have two conflicting rquirements.. which is why u get conflicting advice.. 1 mega pixels is enough for good looking web images which is one requirement.. a decent enough cameras to take good picutres in the first place is the other requirement..
I want to do model photo shoots.. this one of course suggests the need for quite a good a camera with a decent flash.. etc...... ????.. needless to say these do not come in 1 mega pixel variants..
