    Pentax SV S5i
Hi! I'm having a hard time deciding between the Pentax Optio SV and the S5i. The specifications don't show much of a difference. Does anyone have a suggestion as to which is better?

I plan to use the camera for everyday applications and macro photography. Thanks in advance for any advice!

    Lens and Exposure
The most obvious difference is the lenses. The Optio 5Si has an approximate 3x optical zoom lens, compared to the Optio SV's 5x zoom. The Optio SV also appears to have more advanced exposure controls. It has a "manual" mode, which I take to mean that the photographer can choose both the aperture and the shutter speed. The Optio 5Si only has auto modes, although it does have exposure compensation so that you can dial in your exposure.

I think those are the main differcences. Sorry no one helped you sooner. I hope this isn't too little too late.
