Panasonic Lumix - DMC-TZ10 - PAL to NTSC?

Hi - I've been a long-time user of Panasonic and the Lumix cameras, but am a little put off by the fact that the foreign-purchased camera I just bought puts its video format in PAL vs NTSC. Is there a way to change it? I see the option in the setup menu, but it's greyed-out.

I visited Panasonic's website. No help there. I tried their online support. No help there. The only option I currently have is pulling the files directly off the SDHC card and converting the files directly there.

Any thoughts?
