Should I get EF-S 55-250mm for a trip?

Hi,

I am new to photography and I just bought a Canon T1i that comes with a EF-S 18-55mm IS.

This summer I am going to do a trip in Spain and I wanted to know if it would be a great idea to get the Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS to complete the kit.

I was leaning towar this lens cause of the ratio quality/price i saw in many reviews.
I am also low on budget and found it at 200$ wich is my max to spend.

So should I stay with what I already got or
should I get another lens with a greater zoom for the trip?
And if yes I shoul get another lens then is the 55-250 is a good one for traveling?

For the price, the EF-S 55-250 is a pretty good lens that will offer you extra reach. Several of us have posted images taken with this lens at Looking for Inspiration, Part 3 - "Just" the 55-250 EF-S IS telephoto

I think you will find that it, coupled with the kit lens, will afford you a lot of flexibility in your photography.
