Opinions needed please!!...

Hi everyone,

I wanted to ask the experts a question. I'm going to be taking portait photography and have the option of using two different camera models: The Canon Powershot G3 and the Sony DSC-P93.

My question is which will give better results?

The P93 is a megapixel more than the Canon, but the Canon has a bigger lens.

Any thoughts? I could really use some help here.

The Canon at least has a hot shoe for fill flash. My buddy had a G4 (If I remember correctly) and it sure had a nice peice of glass too. I don't know much about that Sony.

Don't just look at the megapixel, look at the image resolutions. What I mean is, the Fuji 12 MP has a higher resolution then the Canon 14 MP. Be sure to look into that as well.

at first glance the canon looks the better option.. hard to be sure thow without actual side by side usage comparisons.. neither are "typical" portrait cameras are they.. more general purpose all-rounders..
