Here's the weird scoop -- and no "live tech support" guy on Sony's site has been help at all. I have a Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-H5. My card is one I bought off Ebay -- it's a 2 Gig Memory Stick PRO Duo High Speed Magic Gate card. Since I am relatively new at cameras, please forgive me if I leave out any important details.
This problem, which has happened three times in the four months I've had this camera, happens sporadically and keeps me nervous that it could happen at any time. After taking several pictures, I will hit the detail button to review my pictures. It will bring up the last picture taken. But my heart breaks when the image fills the whole LCD and then immediately shrinks to a tiny image barely viewable. That's when I know that the entire last set of pictures I've taken are ruined. As I cycle through pics, they all appear on the LCD the same way -- regular size and then immediately teeny tiny. When I put them on the computer, the image displays in the proper size but it's ruined with a great many red, green, and various colored lines running horizontally through the pic, usually covering most if not all of the photo.
Like I said, this really doesn't happen often, but when it does, I lose many important pictures. Does anyone have any idea why this happens, possible causes, etc? Is there any information that I can provide that I neglected to include. Any help would be desperately appreciated!
Thanks,
Cliff
