Re: Old Timer Needs Help!!
1024x768 is a pretty standard screen resolution. The older standard (800x600) went away when large monitors became cheaper. You should ask someone to come over and help you with XPs accessibility settings. Just because your screen resolution is higher, doesn't mean your typeface on the screen has to be. This can be changed to be easily visible regardless of the screen resolution. That being said, many programs are optimized for 1024x768. This just allows you to fit more of the image on the screen and not have to scroll around so much. If the camera's software is an issue, just get a simple card reader and download the images from that. You don't have to use the camera's included software at all. You just drag and drop from a folder like you normally would. No strange interfaces between you and your pictures. Doing it this way also does not require you to change your screen resolution. You can have it set at anything the monitor supports.
But I think that leaving your monitor set at a higher resolution and having the accessibility options adjusted to show bigger fonts will solve most of the problems involved.
Hope this helps.
