Newbie Help

Hi,
I'm looking for a decent camera to purchase.
I am looking at either the Panasonic TZ7 or the Fuji S1730.

Can anyone give me any advice? TZ7 would suit as I hate carrying around a bulky camera, but heard some really good reviews about the S1730.

I think the TZ7 is a great camera. Last year I recommended the ZS3 (the US name for the TZ7) more than any other point-and-shoot camera. A superzoom like the S1730 is nice and the lens may be better. But it's hard to argue with a camera that fits in your pocket. You're a lot more likely to have it with you when you want to take pictures.
