A new quality slim camera

Hi I am looking for a quality slim camera. I currently have an Ixus 500 which has served me well but now I am looking for an upgrade in terms of image quality/ video size and length. I also want the camera to be much slimmer than the ixus as I have trouble carrying it around in my jeans pocket. I have had a look at the Casio/canon/panasonic range but would like some recommendations thanks

I'd look in Nikon S series or Canon SD series.

As regards to requirements I would like the picture quality to be better than the camera I have at the moment (Ixus 500, which has excellent quality itself), and also the option to take lengthy videos at 640x480 or higher. And of course to be as slim as possible, definitely slimmer than my ixus which is the main reason i want to get another camera

i am looking into panasonic lumix, nikon s series and canon at the moment
