New member, might be wrong forum for this question
Hi everyone! This is my 1st post on this forum. My question is more of a technical repair problem and not appropriate to this website. If not, could someone point me in the right direction.
My daughter has a Sanyo S770 digital PAS. When you push the power button to power it up, the LED illuminate for a second and the display screen comes on with the "Sanyo" logo then powers itself off. I'm one of those who tears things apart to see what makes them tick but there are some tiny parts in there and don't want to make it any worse if it is repairable. If it is something that would required taking it to a shop for repair it would probably be better to chunk it and buy new.
Any info would be greatly appreciated. I do repair a lot of electrical things but this tiny thing scares me............:confused5:

My initial guess would be that the battery needs recharging or it needs new batteries.

    I would also suggest a new/recharged battery.

I googled the model you have it I found it for about $85 at Walmart. I'm guessing any repair bill will be more than that. You will probably be better off buying a new one than having that one repaired. If that's the case, have fun taking the old one apart. :)

Well I had already put new batteries in it. Having said that I guess I'll get a quote from the local shop but will probably op not to fix. I'm sure the cost will be greater than it is worth. I had took it apart to a certain point but it seems to be a circuit board part problem. Everything seemed to be in place so I put it back together.

Thanks for all of your input and comments. I was hoping someone had a similar problem to shed some light. :)
