new and interested in buying a camera but...
hello, i'm new to the camera world. recently my 6 year old point and shoot sony digital camera died so i wanted to upgrade it. i wanted to upgrade big.

looking at the canon rebel t1i camera. looks to have all the features that i want.

but i'm confused. i've googled online and found tons of online stores. but the stores broadway photo, rogers camera, and bingo cameras seems to have the lowest prices. my questions is are these places safe for purchase?

In general, if it looks too good to be true, it is. Stay away from Broadway, for sure. Check here. - TF

    The answer is NO!

Check our camera dealer feedback http://forums.photographyreview.com/...ad.php?t=37380
    and this place http://www.resellerratings.com/

The ones with the lower prices will just be a headache and they're likely bait and switch and will try to sell you batteries and chargers and cards that are supposed to come with the camera anyway.

Now when you do get your camera, come back and show us your stuff.

i went with best buy. i'm a college student that just have expensive tastes and hobby. their 18 month no interest was key for the purchase for me. i just got the 899 package with lens along with a 8gb 30mega read card.
