need help with memory card problem

I Have A Konica Minolta Dimage Z1 Digital Camera With A 256 Memory Card. I Use The Card To Transfer Info From One Computer To My Other Sometimes. When I Put It Back In The Camera I Get A Message Saying Unable To Use Card!!! I Can't Figure Out What Is Wrong And Cannot Find Help In Manual Or Website. Anybody Out There That Has Any Ideas What Is Wrong???

You need to format the card in the camera, it is probably confused with the FAT on the card from the computer transfering.

I just gave it a try and still get the same message in the camera "unable to use card" any other suggestions

Try reformatting the card with your computer but make it a FAT16 size, not FAT32 and see if that helps, if not, might be a problem with the card.

HI AGAIN PETER,
BEEN AWAY FOR A FEW DAYS, CAN YOU TELL ME HOW TO FORMAT THE CARD ON THE COMPUTER. I KNOW HOW TO ON THE CAMERA BUT DONT KNOW WHERE TO GO ON THE COMPUTER.

All caps isn't considered very good ettiqute on forums.

If you have a card reader which I assumed you probably do, it is just like a small hard drive, you format it the same way you do with a floppy disk or hard drive. Just select it, then right click on it, select format and make sure you have selected FAT16, then click OK.

Give it a go.

I've run into the same issue. I've formatted the card(s) in the camera and tried on the pc. FAT16 and all. I've tried 4 different cards in the camera and they all say "Unable to use card". My camera is a Minolta Z1. The camera worked fine for a while and when I went to use it one day the message appeared. I've tried new batteries and all. Any help?????
