    Minolta Dimage Z1 LCD
Could anyone tell me, we recently just purchased a Minolta DiMage Z1 and it seems to not have a LCD display on the back. We have used film up until just yesterday when I bought this, and on the box, it did not say it had a LCD on the back, but there is a picture of the camera with one, and all the controls/user manuals/write-ups about this camera seem to say there is. On the back of the camera, there is a frame where the LCD would be, but it looks like black plastic with some sort of horizontal line behind the clear cover, and the controls do seemingly nothing. If you could give me an insight, it would be much appreciated.

I'd go back to the shop where you purchased the camera for a little training.
I suppose it IS possible that they forgot to install the LCD at the factory.

Many cameras have a button on the back (near the LCD) that toggles the viewfonder between viewfinder and LCD. If you're in shooting mode and push such a button give it a moment to switch. The user manual should make it clear how this works.

Just looked at an image of the back of this model. There's a circular control right below the LCD. The three positions indicated (top to bottom) are Viewfinder, LCD and playback.
