    memory full!
I have a Casio Exilim EX-S1. When I switch on I get a 'memory full' message and I cannot use the camera to take pictures. I've tried reformatting the memory card but it doesn't make any difference. Is there a fault with the camera or the card? Any clues, anyone? :(

Do you have another memory card you can test it with? At least then you see if the problem is with the camera or with the card; I'd imagine it's the card though.

Did you try taking the battery out and putting it back? Wait about a minute before replacing it. Sometimes that will clear errors. Also, does the menu have a "reset all" option? If so, try that.

Maybe the camera is trying to use the built in memory card. I know it sounds silly but try taking out your camera card and turning on the camera. Then try and format the built in card with your card removed.

I'm pretty darn sure that camera has a small amount of built in memory.
