    Memory card problem

I have a canon A95 digital camera since april. I bought a memory card (CF 256MB) lately, but since I have been using it I notice some strange things like pictures disappear, I see that I have left 100MB free space on my memory card, but no pictures are in it.

So can somebody tell me what to do with my CF card?

    Thanks

Have you already format the CF at the first time? It is recommend to look what inside the CF with your computer by using card reader. Maybe there are some other file beside picture that eat your memory size.

    Hope this help

It is recommended to format (in camera) your memory cards periodically too.

    Re: Memory card problem

Is your A95 able to do RAW format? If so, it's possible that the program you are using to view/download your pics does not recognize that format. Can you view anything on camera after you download your pics? If so, then you've still got pics left on the camera. Use Windows Explorer to view the card, if possible. After you discover if you have other pictures or not, try reformatting the card in-camera. One other thing...sometimes, new cards come with some software with them preinstalled that needs to be transferred to your computer before you initially format it. Use a card reader to check for these.
    Hope this helps.
