Looking for a good protective case for a Canon sd780is
Hey guys. I just picked up the Canon 780is and I like it a lot. I love the small size but i am worried about breaking something while carrying it around. I work in a lot of dirty dusty areas and need a case to protect the camera.

I'd like to get something very small so I can still pocket the camera, but with a little bit of padding to keep it safe. Nothing fancy.

    Thanks

For pocket cameras I think almost any case will do. Since they're so small and light they don't need that much protection. For me, the type of attachment system is more important. I like a little padding but I want to make sure I can put the case on a backpack shoulder strap so the case is easily accessible when I'm riding, hiking or skiing. If I were you I'd take the camera to my local camera shop, Best Buy or REI and see what it fits in. Anything from the big camera case brands - Lowepro, Tamrac, etc. should be fine.

If you want something more and you're really worried about dust, take a look at the small Pelican waterproof cases. They're a bit bulky and inconvenient, but they'll certainly keep your camera protected from dust.
