On Line Stores (Genius Cameras)

I am planning to buy a digital SLR camera soon. I have browsed around looking for good deals.
I saw an incredible good deal at Genius Cameras (www.geniuscameras.com). They have the Nikon D70s (body only) for $419. I would like to know if someone in the forum has had any experience good/bad with this store.

Another store with good prices is: Best Price Cameras (www.bestpricecameras.com)

I appreciate any comments on those stores.

You may get a more helpful reply there, I'm from the UK and don't know these two at all.

I'm not familiar with these two stores, but remember the old saying, "if it sounds too good to be true, it probibly is" . There are a lot of camera dealers out there that like to pull the bait and switch on uneducated consumers. If you order from them, and get an email saying you have to call them to verify the order, I would cancel it. When you call them they tell you that your camera doesn't come with this, and that, and you have to order it all seperatly. If you do, you end up paying more for it than you would have if you had gone to one of the higher priced dealers in the first place. If you don't, I would be surprised if you ever got your camera.

I'm not saying that the two dealers you mentioned opperate like this, but with prices that much lower than other dealers, I would be very cautious.

Rather than look for ridiculously low prices, stick with online store with a good reputations. A D70s for $419? Think about that, do you REALLY believe that to be true?

I have dealt with B&H, Adorama, and Canoga. Look at the advertisers on tis site and click through to them. Also, don't buy Nikon gray market - Nikon USA won't touch it even for cold hard cash.
