Light painting help - I need quick answers!

OK, so I'm trying light paint photography. I have an Olympus FE-340, 8.0 megapixel and 5x zoom. So, when I use light painting photography, I have some options; P, a shaking hand, Auto, or scene. Now, the shutter speed. I have 0.0, +0.3, +0.7, +1.0, +1.3, +1.7, +2.0. I use +2.0. But I want to be able to take longer shots to be able to draw cool things in the air with it. Thing is, I don't know what do do. Any help?
