Hi Folks,

I'm considering picking up a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX8K. I checked it
out in the store, and quite liked it. Can anyone comment if this is
a good match for what I need?


1. It should comfotably fit in my pocket.
2. It should survive being in my pocket.
3. Does not need to have a huge amount of features.
I have a Cannon EOS (regular film) for times when
more control is needed.
4. Pictures will be taken both indoors (including dark places like a
bar), and outdoors in the daytime. I may also take it traveling
abroad.
5. I won't be printing any large prints.
6. The DMC-FX8K is available for $270. That's definately the top end
of my budget. I'd really like to spend a bit less.
7. Does not need audio or movie capabilities.

Any thoughts would be much appreaciated, as well as recommendations for
other cameras.
