Image problems with new Minolta Dimage Z1
I just received the first set of prints from my new Minolta Dimage Z1 and I think I have a problem. The pictures looked fine on the lcd display, but on paper all of the pictures have what looks like stripes or a checkeroard texture to them. This is my first digital camera and I expected the pictures to look like "normal" pictures when printed, but these were definitely disappointing. Part of the reason I bought the Dimage Z1 was because everyone seemed to agree that picture quality was high. Can anyone help diagnose this problem? I don't know if this is what they are supposed to look like, or if something is wrong with the camera, or if something went wrong in the developing. If it helps, I took my memory card into a CVS drugstore and used the Kodak digital picture machine to order my prints.

Thanks in advance for your help!

    Bad Printing?
My guess is that the problem is with the printer. It's easy to check. Just open one of your images on the computer and see if you can the lines there. If there are no lines on the computer, then the problem is with the printer. Take the prints back and ask them to redo them. If they still aren't right, ask for your money back and go to a new lab.
