I need help buying a video camera!

Hi i joined these forums because I'm seeking information on which video camera i should buy. here is my story: I make short films on YouTube (action films) and I have been using a JVC Everio HD3. The HD3 can shoot HD video footage and is a typical consumer grade camera.

Basically, I want to graduate from using consumer grade video cameras without going over $1000. I want a camcorder that i can manually focus by twisting the lens!

Here are the specs im looking for:
-Shoots Full HD (1080*1920)
-has manual controls
-can manual focus by twisting lens
-under 1000$ (or close to it)
