New Beginner / Affordable DSLR Guide

I just updated my Top Five Beginner Digital SLRs guide. Check it out to find out what I think the best affordable, entry-level DSLRs are. There are cameras from Nikon, Canon, Sony and Pentax and the most expensive camera only costs US $799 with an 18-55mm kit lens:

As a Sonyite, I have to object! A-37??? There are two more levels (A-57 & A-65) that are equal or less than your $799 price. The $500 A-37 may be equal to those $800 cameras, but still... Terry

Post on the article comments too, please! And give some detail so people understand where you're coming from. There are a lot of reasons why I chose the A37 and not a higher spec Sony. The biggest reason is that the A37 gives you so much for so little money compared to the competition. Yes, there are other Sony SLT cameras that fit the bill. But I only chose five cameras and one of the considerations was popularity - that's why I ended up with two Nikons. But I'm not going to disagree with you - not at all. Like I said in the article, I encourage you to post your own picks in the comments. That just makes it a better resource for people looking for a good camera
