how can I fix red eye problem?
    Hello everyone:

I read extensive reviews of sony 7.1MP DSC V3 compared to canon G6, casio EX-P700, Fuji E550. I decided to buy the sony DSC V3 model. However, sony hasn't fix the red eye problem. Can I fix it using software or other methods?

There are a few tricks you can try. The first would be simply to avoid using the flash. Secondly; have you looked in your manual to see how to set the redeye reduction feature? All modern cameras have it, including yours. You could also buy a Dedicated flashgun for the hotshoe mount. If so make sure it has the bounce-head feature, as that would be the key to eliminating the redeye. Also try not flashing your subject straight on. A slight angle may help to reduce glare.

Now, on the software side of things. Most of these newer cameras seem to come with Adobe PhotoShop Elements. Did you get that with your's? With the dodge & burn tool, you will want the burn tool here, select the proper diameter and use the magnifying glass zoom in on the pupil, then darken it little by little till you get the desired effect. Some lesser programs that are designed for people that have absolutely no clue have a redeye reduction tool, but I don't see that coming with this particular camera.

    Hope this helps!
