Help, getting a Digital Camera for X-Mas

i wasnt getting much help else where so maby i should post in a digital photography forum.

My mom is getting me a digital camera for X-mas (budget is $300) and im am looking at the Fuji Finepix e550

Have any of u guys have experience with this Camera and would u recommend it?

Well I now own a fuji 430 that serves it's purpose well when I don't want to lug my 1D around. I find it to be nice enough , so I see no reason the 550 won't be the same.

MY SUGGESTION is to buy from B&H for $6 more(add to cart and it's $329 w/ $50 mail in rebate) though! They stand behind their name and I have never heard of the company you linked to( may very well be a stand up company though)
