HELP camera wanted newbie

want to start get a better camera and get more photos but need a good camera for about 200 no more then 250 hopefully a compact digial one dont mind if its second hand been looking at these

You may be able to find a used or even a new camera that is not greater than 6 mega pixels with manual control option in that price range.

Certainly not the ones you mention. But if you look hard enough, you may be able to find an SP550UZ or SP560UZ for a tad more. I've used both and they're not bad for that price range. Try pricegrabber.com.

I would suggest you to consider Canon since its doing really good in the market. In my opinion the right choice can be made only depending on the purpose. You have to first decide the need for the camera and then choose the one that suits your need.

I just purchased the TZ5 for $185.00 used on Amazon :thumbsup:

I am VERY happy so far and takes VERY nice HD video in good daylight. I have not experimented in less light areas.

I recommend you look at each of the Black, Blue and Silver models if you don't care about the color. This is because a good deal on a Blue TZ5 will not be displayed in the Black or Silver pages and verse-vica.
