hello, total newbie here...

nikon p90 or panasonic fz38.... looking for my first camera , so any recommendations would be grateful received about these 2. Or if any alternatives around £250 price

I haven't used the Nikon or the Panasonic, but I have more general experience with the Panasonics. I like Panasonic's menus and controls better than Nikon's. However, I am pretty confident that the Nikon will have better image quality. What do you plan to use the camera for? What's your main subject? Also, what are you shooting with now? If your current camera is a few years old then either one will be a significant image quality upgrade.

hi, have a canon ixus at the mo s it will be quite a big step up.
Done a bit of further digging and its def betyween pentax x70,,,olympus sp 590 uz or the nikon p90. Which is generally the better camera make? will mainly be for taking pics, i know 2 have the HD video which i would use but not essential
